The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas saw a new WBC World Welterweight Champion emerge on Saturday, February 21st, as Ryan Garcia claimed a dominant unanimous decision victory over Mario Barrios. Garcia set the tone early, dropping Barrios in the first round and controlling the fight with his speed, sharp left hooks, and accurate right hands. The judges' scorecards read 119-108, 120-107, and 118-109, all in favor of Garcia. Also on the same night, Leigh Wood outboxed Josh Warrington to secure a unanimous decision win in Nottingham.

The MMA world was equally eventful, with UFC Fight Night: Strickland vs. Hernandez taking center stage on Saturday, February 21st, in Houston, Texas.
